South Wales Coalfield Collection
Collection of documents which provide an insight into the social, economic and cultural history of South Wales during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The documents mainly concentrate on the employee side of the industry and particularly to trade union activities. The material is held in many media: manuscript documents, photographs, audio and videotapes, posters and banners. Links to a small number of images of documents in the collection have been provided, in particular to a series of photographs from the 1984/85 Miners' Strike.
