Center for Computational Psychology
Computational psychology is the study of formal and computational models of psychological processes. Stanford Prison Experiment
Slide show detailing the 1971 study investigating the psychological effects of adopting the persona of a prisoner or prison guard. Describes the selection process of subjects, the creation of a simulated prison, dehumanisation of inmates, law enforcement methods among guards, and the effect of privileges. Key observations included methods by which guards asserted authority, mechanisms of prisoners' rebellion, the formation and disintegration of alliances, coping strategies, and general behaviour patterns within the prison.
