- A product of digitisation and preservation initiatives by the Library of the University of Chicago. Provides digital access to a selection of the Library's renowned Ancient Near East and Classics Collections. Preserved materials relate to the study of the ancient Near East and cover such topics as the archaeology, art, history, language, law, and the religions of Sumer, Babylonia, Assyria, Egypt, Nubia, Persia, and other ancient peoples of Anatolia and the Fertile Crescent. Classics materials span the time from the rise of Bronze Age Aegean culture through the period in the Middle Ages and include volumes relating to the history, art and archaeology of the classical world. Also contains information on organising and coordinating large scale digitisation projects.

- Intranet as a Learning Tool: A Preliminary Study
- Article which presents the findings of a study conducted to examine the amount, type, and quality of leaning in an undergraduate introductory history course when presented to three different groups of participants, one using traditionally presented course materials (book form), another using the same materials presented on computer screen, and the third using an ergonomically designed Intranet site. Results showed that the amount of historical knowledge acquired was greatest for those using traditional methods, and that the way in which knowledge was acquired was qualitatively different between the groups. Participants preferred learning via traditional methods to screen and Intranet presentations, and those who learnt using computers felt that their learning experience had suffered.
