Charting the Nation
A collaborative digital imaging and cataloguing project with the primary aim of widening access to maps of Scotland and their associated texts dating from ca. 1550 to 1740. This three-year project (1999-2002) is now managed by Edinburgh University Library, and involves a core consortium of 9 other higher education and national institutions within the UK.

Designed as a Web companion to the film of the same name, this resource details the Spanish-American war of 1898, which is credited with being the first media war, and the war that established the United States as an imperial world power.
