Health Concerns Across a Woman's Lifespan: The Commonwealth Fund 1998 Survey of Women's Health: Findings of a survey conducted to increase public awareness of women's health issues and identify opportunities for improving their health and quality of life. Health Survey for England: Began in 1991 as a series of annual surveys commissioned by the Department of Health. Based on a nationally representative sample of the adult population (aged 16 and over) living in private households in England and designed to provide baseline data from which to monitor health trends and in particular, to assess progress towards some of the specific health targets, which include those relating to cardiovascular disease, blood pressure and obesity. Requires registration.

Health Survey for England: The Health of Young People '95 - 97: Full text of the seventh Health Survey for England report, which focuses on children and young adults, and is designed to support better health promotion. Covers respiratory illness, non-fatal accidents, physical activity, smoking, drinking, eating habits, self-assessed health and psychological well-being. National Child Development Study: A longitudinal survey which follows the lives of a group of people born in Great Britain between 3 and 9 March, 1958. The aim of the study is to improve understanding of the factors affecting human development over the whole life span. The data covers a long time period and includes a wide range of questions, plus physical measurements, such as weight and height. Used for a wide range of research, including medical and health research including studies based on subgroups of NCDS cohort members, such as asthma sufferers or handicapped school leavers.
