A consortium to determine the complete DNA sequence of the euchromatic genome of the fruitfly, Drosophila melanogaster, and to develop experimental and computational tools to probe its biological significance. Includes a searchable encyclopedia of drosophila, genomic DNA sequences and software tools for sequence analysis.
