ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) is sponsored by the US Department of Education and corresponds to the printed indexes Resources in Education (RIE) and Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE). ERIC indexes over 775 periodicals and has over 700 000 records, dating from 1966 onwards. Coverage includes research documents, journal articles, technical reports, program descriptions and evaluations, and curricular materials. The British Education Index (BEI) is compiled and edited at the University of Leeds and provides bibliographic references to 350 British and selected European English-language periodicals in the field of education and training, from 1986 onwards, plus developing coverage of national report and conference literature. - The Plagiarism Advisory Service, funded by the JISC, is based in the Information Management Research Institute at Northumbria University. It aims to raise awareness of plagiarism in the academic community by providing generic advice for institutions, academic staff, and students, offering educational tools for students, a portal to external online resources on the issue of plagiarism, and guidance on related copyright and data protection issues.
