ASTER: Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer
ASTER is an imaging instrument on EOS AM-1, a satellite launched in 1998 as part of NASA's Earth Observing System (EOS). ASTER will be used to obtain detailed maps of surface temperature, emissivity, and reflectance elevation.

BOREAS Information System: Boreal Ecosystem Atmosphere Study

NASA SeaWIFS Project
The Sea-Viewing Wide Field-of-View Sensor Project aims to understand the earth's behaviour and evolution by looking at it from space, and to gather quantitative data on global ocean bio-optical properties. Colour satellite images of plankton blooms, chlorophyll concentrations, coral reefs, and hurricanes are available, as well as technical reports and a teacher's section.

WMO is a specialist organisation of the United Nations, based in Geneva.
