Betsie: BBC Education Text to Speech Internet Enhancer: Betsie is software (a Perl script) which is intended to make it easier for people using text to speech systems for Web browsing. It rearranges the content of Web pages, renders text in a large, clear font, makes all frames horizontal, removes all table related tags, removes Javascript, and carries out numerous other operations. Most BBC pages are accessible via Betsie, but results from other pages are less reliable.
