British Atmospheric Data Centre
Designed to assist UK atmospheric researchers to locate, access and interpret atmospheric data, the centre provides permanent archives for data sets from Natural Environment Research Council-funded projects. The searchable archive includes data from the Met. Office and information on ozone experiments, stratosphere, mesosphere and troposphere measurements, sea temperatures and forecasting.
     Author: British Atmospheric Data Centre

     DeweyClass: 551.5
     Resource type: data collection
Earth Interactions
Earth Interactions exploits the capabilities of electronic communications technology to add value to the publication of research results in the interdisciplinary earth sciences. The journal publishes articles dealing with the interactions between the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere in the context of global issues or global change. It provides authors with the opportunity to use animations and other visualisation techniques that traditional publications cannot accommodate.
Author: American Geophysical Union, Association of American Geographers and American Meteorological Society
Subjects: atmospheric science, earth observation, earth science research, global change, meteorology
     DeweyClass: 550
     Resource type: journal
Exploration of the Earth's Magnetosphere
Non-mathematical but detailed overview of space research on the Earth's environment in space. Includes a glossary of space terminology, and covers electrons, auroral acceleration and magnetic storms.
Author: Stern David P. & Peredo, Mauricio, NASA
     Subjects: atmospheric science, earth observation
     DeweyClass: 538.76
     Resource type: documents
Global Change Data and Information System
GCDIS is a cooperative activity of agencies that provides global change data to scientists and researchers, policy makers, educators, industry, and the public at large. GCDIS includes multi-disciplinary data from atmospheric science, ecology, oceanography, as well as economics and sociology.
Author: US Global Change Research Information Office
Subjects: atmospheric science, global change, oceanographic data
     DeweyClass: 551.6
     Resource type: reference data
Global Eye on Tropical Rainfall
Information about the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission which aims to monitor and study tropical rainfall and the associated release of energy that helps to power the global atmospheric circulation, shaping both weather and climate around the globe. Includes images and data.
Author: National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and National Space Development Agency of Japan
     Subjects: atmospheric science, climatology
     DeweyClass: 551.6

     Subjects: atmospheric science, hurricanes, meteorology
     DeweyClass: 551.552
     Resource type: guide
International Solar Terrestrial Physics
The ISTP is a collaborative effort between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science. Project is to investigate the Sun-Earth space environment. Includes information for scientists and the public about the project, mission schedules and reports, ISTP programs, and links to related sites.
