Explore the Unicorn Tapestries
Concentrates on collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York pertaining to the Unicorn Tapestries. Provides an opportunity to examine these medieval masterpieces by allowing users to magnify any section of any tapestry by selecting with the mouse, while providing both close-ups and extensive information about the tapestries. The resource is divided into themed sections to facilitate browsing. Other sections of the resource provide audio and video clips of Metropolitan Museum director Phillipe de Montebello and David Rockefeller, who recounts how his father acquired the tapestries and donated them to the Museum.
