Searchable collection of information on technologies and practices designed to improve the energy efficiency of commercial and residential buildings. Methods relate to building structure, finishes and furnishings, heating and cooling, plumbing and waterheating, lighting, load management, electricity production, ventilation and air quality, site services, and motors and equipment. Discusses the benefits, limitations, application, experience, and cost for each technology.

Architecture and Interior Design for 20th Century America
A digitised collection of over 29,000 photographs taken by Samuel Gottscho and William Schleisner between 1935 and 1955. Entries can be searched by keyword or browsed by subject. Images returned depict architectural subjects including agricultural buildings, airports, banks, city and town halls, dams, government buildings, housing, ironwork, plumbing fixtures, and theatres, focusing largely on the northeastern United States, particularly New York City and Florida.

Building Connections
Resource provided by the Architecture and Building Aids Computer Unit in Strathclyde (ABACUS) and the National Grid for Learning and offers information, materials and activities for teachers and pupils on architecture and the built environment, bringing together educational resources, ideas and case studies from organisations, individuals, schools and local authorities across Scotland. All content is appropriate for the curriculum in Scottish schools and is intended to enhance teaching and learning across the entire curriculum with interactive resources to support the development of programmes of study, group work and individual study. Resources are organised by topic, building, place, case study and curriculum, and include interactive timelines, virtual tours, documents, interactive case studies and other learning activities. Building Connections is an active resource and continues to develop as projects and resources become available. Quicktime and PDF are required to view many of the resources.

Gargoyles Then and Now
