Farm Business Survey: A survey of farms in England and Wales, carried out on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) in England and by the Welsh Office in Wales. Topics include physical details of the farm area and stocking (previous crops, current crops and livestock); expenditure on labour, rent, feed, seed, fertilisers and miscellaneous items; financial data, including farmers incomes, assets, capital investments, costs and liabilities; sales of the main agricultural and horticultural products and other activities such as farm shops, bed and breakfast and caravan sites.
