British Pathe
British Pathe is one of the oldest and most notable media companies in the world, producing famous bi-weekly newsreels and cinemagazines from 1902 onwards. This resource offers access to over 3,500 hours of video footage drawn from the British Pathe newsreel collection downloadable free of charge. Users can browse the collection by themed categories or use the advanced search tools allowing searches to be conducted by film characteristics such as film type, decade of release, period, and keywords. BUFVC: British Universities Film and Video Council
BUFVC aims to promote the production, study and use of film and related media in British higher education and research. It was founded in 1948 as the British Universities Film Council.
